Geothermal Drilling at the Beresford Building in NYC | Brightcore Energy
The Beresford is a 1929 landmark cooperative building located on Central Park West in Manhattan. The 22-story building contains 183 apartments totaling 600,000 square feet. Brightcore Energy is providing the turnkey design and installation of 9 boreholes inside the building. The project will reduce peak cooling demand by 18% utilizing an innovative borehole thermal energy storage (BTES) optimization strategy. In heating mode, the project will require 60% less energy than an equivalent air source heat pump system.
